Winner: Nel Vandergaag
The annual Turkey Shoot has been a popular competition since its inception in 1994. Each member is given a full season to photograph any or all categories chosen by members of the Turkey Shoot Committee.
A winner is chosen for each category, and a grand aggregate winner for the most wins per board. Historically, the prize for the aggregate winner was a turkey, from which the Turkey Shoot derives its name. Today the winners are awarded cash prizes.
The winning photos are announced at the year-end Christmas celebration pot luck. A special feature of the event is the vote for best panel. The winner gets the coveted People's Choice award and a cash prize.
