No matter what your skill level is, you are invited to join us to wonder away and to explore the world of photography and art.
Membership is open to all individuals and families.
Memberships
The West Kootenay Camera Club season begins in September and concludes in early June. In-person meetings are held bi-weekly on Mondays in the basement of Castlegar & District Public Library building from the season's starting date.
As a member, you will enjoy
- Participating in hands-on education
- Socializing on Field Trips in the Kootenays
- Showcasing your photos in Monthly Themes
- Challenging yourself in capturing 10 different subjects for the annual Turkey Shoot
- Learning more about photography and its techniques
- Meeting other photographers in the area
- Enjoying the Photo Show with the annual Photo Salon and discounted entry fees
- Attending year-end and season-end gatherings
- Competing in localized and Canada wide photography competitions
- Attending online presentations by Professional photographers with the BC/Yukon Inter-Club Group
Fees
2025-2026 Season Fees
- Individual: $30 per year
- Two (2) Family Members: $50 per year
- Family of more than two (2): $60 per year
- Single Student: $15 per year
Reduced fee may will apply if joining after January in the society year.
Membership payment is by e-Transfer. Information is included in the membership application form.
