The West Kootenay Photo Exhibition was enjoyed by the crowds who came in and saw the assorted photos June 4 – 11th at the Kootenay Gallery
The public also enjoyed voting on which photo they thought was the best of the bunch. Here are the top 11 of the over 92 pictures on display.
The crowd favourite was Marnie Pettit’s photo Tiny Dancer a picture of an American Pipit. Next was WKCC President Bob Dyke photo Canal in Lezhan, China. Third was Nel Vandergaag’s photo Aspen Grove.
Dan Salekin photo Night Shift was in a tie for fourth most popular, with Nel Vandergaag’s photo Horseplay and Debbie Thiem’s photo Artful Daisy. Fifth was Jason Hartleb’s photo Snow has Fallen. Marie Croteau’s photo Celebration of Trees came in 6th, followed by Lola Sherstibitoff’s The Bikers in 7th place. In 8th was Peter Moll’s photo Malawi. 9th place was claimed by Jana Malinek’s photo Home Builder.
